Why Gas Leak Detection?
In some countries, up to 20% of distributed gas
is “lost” and cannot be accounted or invoiced
for. In the UK, only around 0.75% of all gas transmitted is
lost through such “shrinkage”. With the huge volumes
involved, this equates to $ millions of lost revenue
The widespread use of Telegan Gas-Tec and
Autofim gas detectors combined with effective pipeline management
and analysis has highlighted areas of concern and targeted
corrective maintenance.
High Speed or Manual Surveying
Many thousands of kilometres of pipeline will take large amounts of time to survey for gas leaks, requiring a large labour force and fleet of instruments. The Gas-Tec and Trigger combination allows for surveying up to 30 km/h, when attached to a suitable vehicle, and allows for fast, accurate and reliable mobile monitoring, saving time and resources in all areas.
